Operation Write Home is an awesome organization that provides blank handmade cards for our deploy soldiers.  It's a tad bit hard to run to Hallmark in the middle of Baghdad when your spouse or children has a birthday, or they need to just tell their family and friends I miss you and love you.  Email is a great and helps out tremendously in staying in touch with home, but there is something special from mom or dad that a child can carry to school, or a wife/husband can slip into their purse/briefcase.  Having their handwritten card is like having a small part of their loved one with them.   

Please go through OWH's website and see the soldiers and family that OWH help.  They also have a lot of inspiration and tutorials.  To date Operation Write Home has sent 41,232 cards to deployed heroes!
